Convert a Courier Quote into a Shipment with FlagShip
FlagShip’s proprietary online shipping system allows our clients to create quotes before committing to a shipment. Creating a courier quote requires less information than inputting all the information for a full quote. This way, clients can get an idea of their shipping rates and available courier services much faster. If you are not ready to process the quote, don’t worry – our online shipping system temporarily stores the information so you can easily return to your account and convert the courier quote into a shipment.
I created a quote. How should I proceed to process the shipment?
Once you’ve created a courier quote and wish to proceed and process the shipment, simply click “convert” in the system and you will be able to fill in the remaining necessary address information. The shipping information that is normally required when processing a new shipment, such as the recipient’s company name and contact name, will now appear. Some fields are optional such as your recipient’s e-mail address. An e-mail address should only be entered if the recipient wishes to receive tracking notifications. As the sender, you will always be able to track your shipment at any time in your account.
FlagShip Tip: It is not necessary to create a courier quote before processing a new shipment. This is a great option if you want to get a general idea of a shipping quote without having to enter detailed information. An alternative would be to fill out all the necessary information on the main shipping screen which will also allow you to view your rates, process your shipment, schedule a courier pickup and print your shipping labels.
